Visits to the Observatory in La Palma will be daily in summer 2017

Visits to the Observatorio del Roque de Los Muchachos are all year around. This summer, from 15th June, they will be on a daily basis, whereas the rest of the year will remain only four days: tuesdays, fridays, saturdays and sundays. Visits will be scheduled at 9:30 and 11:30 in the morning. There will be no visits (or stargazing) at night as only personnel are allowed inside the facilities during the night. If you are interested in a stargazing activity check out our tours.

In recent years, visiting the Observatory has become one of the highlights in La Palma for the sights but also because hardly any facilities of this kind and relevance are open for visits.

After a general introduction, the visit continues inside one of the professional telescope buildings such as Gran Telescopio de Canarias (right now the largest single mirror telescope on the visual range on Earth), William Herschel Telescope, Telescopio Nazionale Galileo
